Melanie's Swim Lessons 2-14-12

Oh this girl LOVES her swim lessons!

Kyle's Last Basketball Game of the Season

Scott Johnson-V-Cockrill Middle School
This team had a defeated season. :( Big time BUMMER. A couple of times they did come close to winning a game.
Kyle had a foul & was given a FREE throw shot. Under pressure it's quite hard to perform, because normally Kyle makes FREE throw's with his eyes shut.
Oh well, there is always next season!
GO TIGERS, GO TIGERS, GO, GO, GO TIGERS!!!!!

Kyle's Basketball Game-Evans

Another loss.  Only a tournament on Saturday & one more regular game on Monday left. There's still a chance to win ONE game.  C'mon TIGERS!!!  YOU CAN DO IT!
GO TIGERS, GO TIGERS, GO TIGERS-GO!!!!!!
Just in case you miss it, Kyle is trying to make a lay-up.  I think it's the 3rd. video in this video.  I was a little late hitting the video button on the camera & not at the right angle.  Sorry about that.

Tea Time With Ella

Color A T-Shirt

Nana Sylvia & Papa Paul found Melanie a color a t-shirt. What a neat idea! It has taken a while, but Melanie has fianlly been able to get a few pieces colored in. So FUN! She LOVES these t-shirts! Thank You Nana Sylvia & Papa Paul!

Dress-Up Time!

Melanie is really into dressing-up right now. She wants to be "fashionie". AND...she's even letting me do her hair! Well, as long as it's in a braid. A few days ago I inroduced her to 2 braids and she LOVED IT! Doesn't she look beautiful?!

Melanie's New Friend, Christopher

Our neighbor friend Ms. Eva watches a handful of kids so she can stay home with her 18 month old. The oldest she watches is Christopher. He's 4 almost 5. Everytime Melanie & I go over to her house, Christopher just gravitates to Melanie. Christopher says things like "Watch this Melanie!", "Hey Melanie wanna race?" "Melanie, Melanie, wanna build!?" He's very eagar to hang with her because of her age. And of course Melanie likes the attention! They play pretty well together and enjoy each other's company. They have "conversations". It's really neat to watch them interact. I think he's also a little envious of Ella too. It must seem so exciting to a 5 year old to see another child go to a friends house for a play date-so very intruiging. On Friday Christopher said "I wish I could go to Melanie's house." And it did seem a little hectic for Ms. Eva at that time. She was getting ready to lay 2 baby's down for a nap. So I offered to let him come over so she could have some calm time. And guess what...he came over! He was so excited he couldn't hardly contain himself. When Ms. Eva told him to put his shoes on he jumped up and said "YES!" LOL! We played BINGO!, Playdough, blew bubbles, and jumped on the trampoline. I think they all had a good time. Although I don't think we'll be able to have him over nearly everyday like we do Ella, I do hope he can come over again. He's so sweet!

Color, Cut-n-Paste, What Fun!

Melanie's Swim Lessons-Tuesday

Last Summer Melanie really took the plunge with trying to swimm on her own. She was feeling very brave & comfortable in the water. Duane & I decided to put her in swim lessons this spring to really encourage her to become a strong swimmer so she can always have fun & be safe in the water.
She really enjoyed every minute of this swim lesson. It lasted about 40 minutes and she did not want to get out of the water!
