Nearly a week before Melanie's birthday, Kyle & I were talking about singing Happy Birthday to Melanie & other details about her birthday. When all of a sudden Melanie came between us & said "And I won't cry this time Mom! I won't cry." At first I was confused. Then Kyle helped me remember-she did cry when we sang the Happy Birthday song. I couldn't believe that she remembered! She has a GREAT memory!
So here's a "Happy Birthday" then and now.

After Kate got here all dressed up in her pretty blue tu-tu Melanie wanted to wear her pretty tu-tu too! What a GREAT idea! And don't you just LOVE the Burger King Crown?!
Melanie Makes Her Birthday Cake
I LOVE that Melanie & I cook & bake together! She's always running into the kitchen, pushing her step stool & saying "I wanna help, I wanna help!!!" She's always so helpful & ready to learn. I'm so glad we made her birthday cake together!

Melanie's Happy Birthday Quilt
Apparently this is my Mom's first attempt at making a quilt. I wouldn't know the difference. I think it's absolutely GREAT! And so does Melanie! It's homeade, it's made with love and Melanie adores it. It must be PERFECT! Thanks Mom.
Birthday Invitations
We are having an official birthday party for the first time for Melanie. It will be Friday September 24rd. @ 4PM. We made invitations for Melanie's lil friends! Melanie traced the letters for the invite, and decorated with glitter! So much fun!
Taste Testing
Melanie is taste testing a Brownie Cake Recipe for her birthday. It tasted better "raw" than cooked. Needless to saw, I'm making a different cake for her birthday.
