This Warms My Heart So Much

When Melanie reads to Sean, it is just so tender and sweet. It warms my heart to see him hanging on her every word.

Seriously, My Kids Are Cute

Sean is Getting on His Knees!

This little guy is making such progress and getting stronger. He's getting on his knees and rocking himself. I'm guessing he'll be crawling by 18 months!

Providence House Update: March 21, 2015 (World Down Syndrome Day!)

Our house is getting a roof. Has electrical and plumbing. We didn't take more pictures because we were pressed for time. We had a Down Syndrome party to attend, to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day! HOORAY!

Melanie and Her American Girl (type) Doll

Melanie has started to get into the American Girl Doll frenzy. Although, she really isn't that frenzied. HA! Americana girl dolls are ridiculously expensive as well as their accessories. Melanie was fortunate enough to receive $100 for her birthday to use towards an American Girl Doll. However, she still couldn't afford one or accessories to go with her. After shopping around showing Melanie different dolls and trying to teach Melanie even more about frugalness versus frivolous spending she of her own accord found a doll to treasure. Sarah is Melanie's American Girl Doll that she bought with her own money: birthday money, gift card and earned money. Along with the doll Melanie was able to purchase 2 other outfits. I'm so proud of Melanie. She waited to spend her money. She shopped around for a special doll. She didn't just settle for any doll. She wanted one with just the right color hair, eyes and fashion. And she used her money wisely, seeing just how far her money could go if she looked beyond a label. LOVE IT!!! (hopefully Melanie will continue that trend into her teenage years!)
