Hole Punch FUN
We used a single hole punch on our Wind Catcher project and Melanie was facinated. She has used a 3 hole punch before but a SINGLE-well THAT'S exciting. It leaves lil' circle pieces ALL over the place! HOW FUN! It was good as hand exercises and great for hand/eye coordination.

A Rare FUN Sibling Moment
Easter Bunny Craft Time
Good Friday
Thank you Lord JESUS for your sacrifice for us. I am so thankful to you for BLESSING my life so FULLY. As I draw closer to YOU by reading the BIBLE, TALKING TO YOU & talking to others I am AMAZED everyday at how much YOU LOVE each and EVERYONE of us.
Dear Lord, please help me to love you with my WHOLE heart and to teach others to love you with their whole heart. JOHN 13:1
Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

Kite Flyin' Time!
Did you know March is officially kite flying month? We have Benjamin Franklin to thank for that. Due to the onset of Spring the winds tend to pick up making the weather GREAT for flying kites!
*Here's Melanie helping Duane get our kite ready.
*Melanie is ready to fly.
*Melanie all tangled up!
*Duane helping Melanie hold the kite.
*Melanie flyin' the kite ALL BY HERSELF!
*UP, UP, AND AWAY!
*WAAAAHOO! Look at that kite SORE!
Thanks Grandma Linda for giving us this kite a few years back. We have enjoyed it year after year!

Snow Motion
Which balloon will fall faster, the deflated or the inflated? The deflated balloon acts as a raindrop while the inflated acts as a snowflake. In the end the deflated balloon drops faster even though they both weigh about the same. Because the inflated balloon is bigger it has more friction when dropping in the air causing it to drop slower. Interesting, huh? YAY! for Kindergarten Science!

Grow Daisy Grow!
We bought this flower in the $1 section at Target. It sits in Melanie's window and just GROWS! She's taking very good care of her flower-putting it in the sun & watering it just the right amount. Our hope is that it will grow to become a BEAUTIFUL Daisy!
This plant has brought a TON of excitement to Melanie. Every time it seems to grow a little more she just gets estatic. I LOVE that.
Sight Word Spelling
Melanie made up her own game to do our "Sight Word" spelling. She took our magnetic letters, arranged them on the floor and started trying to spell different words with them. She wanted to do this instead of me calling out words to her for her to write down & practice her spelling. Then I decided "Hey what a cool concept!", and took it a step further and brought in a die. We roll the die & what ever number you land on that is how big of a word you have to think of & spell. It's actually working out quite nicely. You have to get creative sometimes & apply a little math skills at the same time. It's not always so easy for a five year old to think of a 6 letter word, sound it out & spell it. It also baffles her a little when she draws a 1. What words only have 1 letter in them? Not very many! HA! This game has turned out to be very fun.
