Melanie REALLY loves this song. She was playing dollhouse stuff with her friend Ella, this song came on the radio & she was up & moving on the trampoline. Just a singin' away. She has GREAT music tastes!

Girl Power!
I just love hanging out with these girls all together! And they just love each other! All though I do wish they could all look at the camera at the same time & smile while they do it! HA!!
Rainbow Swirl
This was a cute science project for little girls. Milk, 3 food colors, a tablespoon of dish soap and gravitaional pull is all it takes to make a rainbow swirl in a cereal bowl. Kinda like making tie dye!
Team Brownie, Team Smokey
About 3:25 this morning I woke up to sqeeking. Of course Smokey caught a little mouse in Melanie's room & Brownie was supervising. Apparently turning on the light was the distraction the mouse needed & it darted away. It just wasn't fast enough. Brownie caught it instantly & squished it dead.
A few weeks ago a little mouse evaded Brownie & Smokey in our living room. I just knew it was gonna get caught eventually. I'm pretty sure this was the same mouse. Rest in peace, little guy.

Today is YOUR day Duane. HAPPY FATHER's Day! So, just lay back on the couch and relax, ENJOY your day.
Oh wait...you're a DAD! A REALLY GOOD DAD! You can't lay back and relax...you're gonna take your daughter swimming. Play tea party. Build with blocks. Make pancakes. Bake & eat pizza. Go get an ice cream. Dress up Polly Pockets. Read children's picture books. Watch Strawberry Shortcake. Play board games-The Melanie Way. Draw pretty pictures. Play with Play Dough.

You're weekends are filled by playing with & entertaining our kids. YOU ARE AN AWESOME DAD! The time you spend with our kids is priceless and they enjoy every minute with you. I am so lucky to have a husband that is is extremely family oriented. You work so hard for us and we appreciate YOU. Thank you Duane. We love you.

Melanie seems to like the weirdest things! A SLUG?? EWW! LOL! But this is what makes Melanie, Melanie. And I adore her...even when she is petting & capturing slugs. HA!

Tea For Three, Please
It's SUPER AWESOME to have such interactive pets. We sure are lucky to have such a sweet bunch! Melanie just ADORES Smokey & Brownie. And I think they secretly like her company too. HA! :)
Summer Movie
I took Melanie to the movies yesterday. We saw Madagascar 3. What a CUTE movie! However, I couldn't beleive how EXPENSIVE going to the movies can be! It cost $6.75 for Melanie & I to get in. Then I ordered a Jr. Popcorn for us to share & a medium drink. Total for food NINE DOLLARS!!!!! WHAT???????????
I could NOT believe it. I knew it was expensive to eat there, but I had no idea the extent. I usually go to the movies once, maybe twice a year so it is kinda nice to treat yourself to the "fun" food. But those prices are ridiculous.
Next time, I'm popping my own popcorn, & stopping at RaceTrac for a medium drink for .89 cents.
Really Missing Kyle
Kyle has officially been gone to Kansas for 12 days now & I am REALLY missing him. He doesn't call, he doesn't write. Is this a precepter to how things will be when he becomes an adult? BUMMER.
Even Melanie's missing her BRO. "Things are more fun when Kyle's here." "Kyle keeps things interesting."
Brownie's missing Kyle. She has no one to cuddle with in the evening exceot Duane & me. And well, she's just too stinky & hot!
He'll be back on the 26th, & things will probably get back to normal. WHEW!

SHarkarosa Deer
Don't these deer look like statues? As we drove in they held very still. Must be a defensive thing. Poor animals. Always living their lives in fear.
Sharkarosa
We went to Sharkarosa for Lauren's birthday. That is a NEAT place. I love animals, so a ZOO type atmosphere is great for me. And apparently reptiles are Melanie's thing. SHE LOVES SNAKES.
Kyle and Lauren enjoyed the camels. They were very playful. And very cute.
