Scrap Wood
Children are so creative. What imagination they have to use the scrap wood from our old fence. Even the little ones found a way to use it!
Kyle & Keonte tried to make rafts. They floated but not with weight on them. The little ones drew on the wood pieces. And Melanie made a ramp out of a few pieces.

Oh...THE Fence
We needed to replace our fence. It was time. It was weathered, broken, mismatched, ugly & basically just falling apart. Thank goodness for GRANDPARENTS! Although the fence building was a joint family effort, most of the hard work came from Duane & Tim and ALL the know-how came from Tim. So thank you so much Tim! Without you, the ENTIRE fence would be slanted-not just bits & pieces of it! HA, HA, HA!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Grandparents Are THE Most Special Thing
Grandparents are the most special thing...next to the actual grandchildren, of course.

Papa-Tim is AMAZING at wood working! Melanie's doll house is AWESOME! Melanie loves it. Smokey loves it. Melanie's friends, Ella & Christopher love it. It's going to get a lot of use and will be well loved & cherrished. Thank you!

Learning to Read
This video really blows me away! Melanie has taken one very key step in learning to read, she's memorized words. However, you can see that she still struggles with some words & has to sound them out-which is also very critical. Can you believe it?????? MELANIE IS LEARNING HOW TO READ!!!!!!
What an awesome big brother Kyle is for taking the time to listen to Melanie read to him and help her with some words!
